Seth Albaum

Seth Albaum

Executive Director

Seth Albaum’s interest in local media began back in high school, inspired by college radio programs and taking a TV production class. It was also way back then that he realized the importance of broadcasting local government meetings, as he and fellow classmates spoke at several.

He graduated from Emerson College in 1998, having spent half the time studying Mass Communication and half Speech Communication, with a minor in Education. Starting his freshman year, he was writing and delivering news over the air on WERS-FM, working as a tech at the Emerson TV studios, and taking every opportunity to push buttons, turn knobs and slide faders.

Shortly after graduating college, Albaum’s career in Access began in a small studio serving two towns. Eventually, he would use his teaching credentials for a few morning production classes at a nearby high school, which would lead to teaching video production full time at another high school while continuing to work in access part time. It was a career cross-fade into teaching that would last thirteen years before coming home again to access television in Lynn.

Seth Albaum has also started LynnHappens.com in 2008, and has been involved in the downtown Lynn community for over a decade. He serves on the Board of Directors for Lynn Museum/LynnArts. He also loves live sound engineering, watching documentaries, taking photos with old film cameras, and adapting antique lenses to modern digital cameras.

He lives in Lynn with his wife and daughter.
