What’s Cooking, Episode 4: Chorizo Fundido

On this episode of our “What’s Cooking?” Chef Dave makes a chorizo fundido! Everyone makes a buffalo chicken dip for parties, but not everyone does this.

With this dish you get three kinds of cheeses melted together with some peppers and spicy pork sausage.

This is just one of many uses for chorizo, and a refreshing change from the typical dips you may find at a holiday party, watch party, or just a snack at home.

We will also have a viewing area with about 38 chairs in the studio for the public that wishes to attend. Those that come down will be treated to catering by Preps By Chefs, a new meal prep service in Lynn.

Successful September events at LCTV

Oct. 1, 2018
By David Riley Jr.

Over the course of September we had a few events open for the community here at LCTV. All of them were very successful and well-attended. We aim to hold community events throughout the year, all free for the community to attend.

First we had our monthly film screening. In September we screened “Killer Klowns From Outer Space” and had a great time watching this B-movie. The Paramount Film Series happens the second Monday of the month at 7pm; the next one is happening on October 8 & will be Hereditary. Please help us pick a future theme: check out the image to the right and comment below with what you think.

On Friday, Sept. 21 we held pperformances of “The Boston Abolitionists”. We had in wonderful actors from The Poets’ Theater participate in this free event, as part of the annual Trails & Sails event. The Frederick Douglass’ 200th Committee helped organize this event, and we had a full house for this great historical presentation.

On Monday, Sept. 24 we had our 1st video game & ice cream night! We had a packed house with people playing Mario Kart, Pokemon Stadium, board games, and more while enjoying some ice cream from Treadwell’s. If you came then let us know if you’d come down if we did it again, and which games you’d like to play!

We’d love to continue to put on community events like this and have everyone come down to the station to have some fun. If you have any ideas about what sort of events we should hold, or how to improve them, let us know.

Keep an eye out on our Facebook page for future events. Hopefully we’ll see you at the next event we hold!
