Beyond Walls – 2019 Map & Event Schedule

There are 14 muralists working on large scale public art in Downtown Lynn for the 3rd year in a row from Beyond Walls. If you want to head out and check them out you can use this official map below to find them, and past works of art!

Beyond Walls is also hosting a series of events for the public during the festival. The events range from includes conversational hangouts, musical performances, meet and greets with the artists, and much more. The full schedule is also below.

FCC Updates on Cable Franchising Rules

Our staff has returned from their trip out to Oregon for the annual Alliance for Community Media National Conference & Hometown Media Awards. It was a great time attending workshops, meeting with other PEG media professionals, and receiving our awards.

However, while there the FCC issued it’s draft Order on Cable Franchising. This brings them one step closer to voting on it, and they are scheduled to vote on August 1. While some of the content has changed, you can read a summary of what this would do in this previous blog post.

2019 City of Lynn Fireworks Display Information

The City of Lynn will host the Annual 3rd of July Fireworks Display in celebration at Red Rock Park on Wednesday July 3rd, 2019.

Beginning at 3:00PM there will be parking restrictions implemented in designated areas for Lynn Shore Drive, Prescott Road and Cherry Street.

At 6:30PM Lynn Shore Drive and Humphrey Street in Swampscott will be closed to traffic.

The Fireworks display is scheduled to begin at 9:00PM and will end at approximately 9:45PM. Roads will not be re-opened until approximately 10:30PM, so please plan accordingly.
